  • Late August

If I never start blogging, I'll never catch up, eh?  I saw that I already had the photos uploaded up until early September, so here we go!

Way back in August, Calvin had just started Kindergarten.  I was very pregnant, it was fairly hot outside, and there were a lot of things to do before the baby arrived!

I cannot remember why there was a parade in town.  That is a hazard of waiting this long to blog about it.  It may have been Columbia Daze.  Or it may have been Homecoming.  Anyway, here are a few pictures:

I'm pretty sure it takes a full year to finish off the candy from a single parade.

Vehicles were a big hit, especially with our favorite gearhead, Isaac.

    State Senator Luechtefeld.

This parade was also memorable for the obscene amount of beads we ended up taking home.

Changing gears a bit...I only took one picture from the following gathering.  Care to guess who these lovelies are?

Not the best photography, but the blurring makes it look like the picture of tranquility. winky

Jason started a new job over the summer, so now instead of holiday parties including date nights and fancy dinners, we have a company picnic.  This includes the whole family, with a pool rented out all day (we did not swim this year), a cookout-style buffet, bounce houses, carnival rides, Bingo (with company products as prizes), and a roped off prize pen for the kids.

See the trailer full of Bounty, Charmin, and Mr. Clean?  Those are the Bingo prizes.  We went home before that, however.

  • Wow, I bet the kids much prefer the new job what with the cool family picnic and all! Thanks for posting and making me feel better about being just one month behind on bloggging!

  • Love seeing the photos...the warmer temps of the photos look so nice in January when it is snowing and we haven't seen the sun for many days. Glad you posted. Hope you and your family are doing well. I miss yours and your siblings' posts on Xanga. I know you all are on Facebook, but still enjoy your Xanga posting.

  • another good post! i keep looking for the 'like' button when i see a picture or caption nice picture especially of the young ones - think i know most of them but don't know where that was taken.
